POSITION SUMMARY, COPPELL TEXAS

As a Quality Coordinator at our Coppell, TX plant, you will serve as the first line of quality assurance on the production floor—inspecting incoming materials, monitoring in-process work, and verifying finished product prior to shipment. Your efforts will play a critical role in protecting our customers and our reputation by identifying issues early and maintaining accurate, reliable records that support the operation.

Because this is a custom, high-mix, low-volume job shop environment, you will inspect a wide variety of products rather than the same part repeatedly. In this setting, attention to detail and sound judgment are essential. We are seeking someone who takes pride in doing the job right—someone who is thorough, disciplined, and honest enough to raise concerns when needed, even in challenging situations. Technical skills can be taught, but the right character is what defines an exceptional Quality Coordinator.

MAIN RESPONSIBLIITES

Inspection

  • Perform incoming inspections of raw materials and components against specifications.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to identify issues early.
  • Complete final inspections of finished goods before shipment.
  • Use measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Documentation

  • Accurately record inspection results, measurements, and nonconformances.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready quality records in support of ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Tag, segregate, and document nonconforming material according to procedure.
  • Assist with reports on inspection activity and quality trends.

Support & Collaboration

  • Communicate quality concerns promptly to production, engineering, and the Plant Manager.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Participate in internal audits and help maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance.
  • Work with process engineering on standards, work instructions, and continuous improvement.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree preferred in Quality, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing, preferably in a custom or high-mix environment.
  • Familiarity with basic measurement and inspection tools, with the ability and willingness to learn additional tools as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate recordkeeping.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and the confidence to identify and escalate issues, even under production pressure

NICE TO HAVE

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes, such as 5-Why or CAPA.
  • Exposure to ERP or quality management software.
  • Background in packaging, woodworking, plastics, or multi-material manufacturing.
  • Basic understanding of Lean or Six Sigma principles.
