Compliance Officer, Nefab Packaging Netherlands

Our Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Compliance organization is vital for us to deliver reliable, sustainable and compliant packaging and logistics solutions to our customers. We are now looking for a Compliance Officer to join our team in Nefab Packaging Netherlands B.V.

As Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that Nefab Netherlands operates in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and internal policies. You will be responsible for coordinating and conducting internal compliance audits, supporting external audits, managing customer compliance inquiries and following up on findings and corrective actions. You will contribute to strong governance, customer confidence and the continuous improvement of our compliance processes.

You will work closely with colleagues across Quality, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, HR and other functions. In this role, you will connect internal stakeholders, customers and auditors, ensuring that compliance information is complete, accurate and delivered on time. You will combine a structured and detail-oriented approach with pragmatic collaboration, helping the organization translate requirements into effective day-to-day practices.

This position is located in the Netherlands, with collaboration across our Dutch organization. You will report to the QHSE Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and execute internal compliance audits across different departments.
  • Support and facilitate external audits conducted by customers, certification bodies and regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare clear audit reports, document findings and monitor corrective actions through timely closure.
  • Maintain the audit schedule and ensure audits and follow-up actions are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for customer questions relating to compliance, audits and supporting documentation.
  • Provide customers with accurate, clear and timely compliance information and audit results.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to collect required information and ensure a professional customer experience.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, applicable regulations and relevant industry standards.
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of compliance manuals, procedures and documentation.
  • Contribute to training and awareness initiatives that strengthen a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Identify compliance risks, gaps and improvement opportunities and translate these into practical recommendations.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulatory developments, standards and industry best practices.
  • Support management with compliance-related initiatives, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in Law, Business Administration, Quality Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in compliance, audit coordination, quality assurance or a comparable role, preferably in a manufacturing, packaging or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of audit processes, regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interact professionally with customers, auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow-up actions in a structured way.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with audit management or compliance software is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently while actively collaborating across functions.
  • Professional working proficiency in English; Dutch language skills are highly desirable.
  • A proactive, pragmatic and improvement-oriented mindset.
