1st Shift Quality Inspector, Nefab South Central Coppell

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Inspector helps maintain quality and environmental systems, supports safety compliance, and conducts quality checks across manufacturing operations. This role works with Production and Quality teams to resolve issues, support audits, improve processes, and ensure product and customer quality standards are met.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES 

  • Help maintain compliance with the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System across the region.
  • Inspect and track the quality of products entering and leaving the facility.
  • Perform and document in-process and final quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure each station has the correct drawing and cut list, and that employees understand their responsibilities.
  • Serve as the link between Shop and Engineering to keep drawings current and accurate.
  • Recommend design improvements when safety, quality, or efficiency can be enhanced.
  • Conduct month-end physical inventory audits with Production Managers/Supervisors and help improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Report non-conformities to the Production Manager and Quality Manager, communicate issues to Shop Supervisors and employees, and support corrective action plans.
  • Provide strong internal and external customer service by investigating and resolving quality-related complaints and non-conforming issues.
  • Support Nefab Sourcing and Quality by working with vendors to ensure the quality of purchased parts.
  • Collect and analyze statistical quality data.
  • Complete required customer quality documentation, including First Article Inspections.

Work Environment

  • Work may require weekend and/or evening work.
  • Plant working conditions include noise more than 90 dB, variable temperatures, and humidity (climate conditions), some dirt and dust (within OSHA guidelines), and when outside, inclement weather. Personal Protection Equipment is provided.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Knowledge of waste separation system existing in the Company.
  • Knowledge of basic routines of handling of hazardous substances used in the Company.
