JOB SUMMARY 

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for managing all facets of maintaining Thermoforming presses, Thermolators, Chillers, Air Compressors and Vacuum Pumps as well as general building maintenance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Interact with PFP management to ensure timely and accurate information for maintenance planning and delivery of cost estimates for new and existing jobs.
  • Proactively lead thermoforming equipment maintenance project activities internally/externally to ensure equipment longevity and optimal usage.
  • Act as project leader to ensure robust planning and reporting of all critical project activities to team members.
  • Ensure that projects are efficiently managed and meet or exceed all timing, quality and budgetary expectations.
  • Report on all critical project issues regularly to department management.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial work ethic and proactively engage in continuous improvement efforts that foster an ever-increasing competitive advantage in the Thermoforming industry.
  • Implement standard work processes for preventative maintenance regiments.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and maintenance inventory items.
  • Utilize maintenance software for:
  • PM Schedules
  • Work orders
  • Tracking cost/project history on equipment
  • Track Inventory and vendors
  • Train and evaluate LOTO process
  • Order parts and track expenses.
  • Responsible for oversight of outside contractors (completion and inspection of work performed).
  • Maintain organization and be efficient in developing and reporting project critical elements (i.e. open issues, project timing plans, budget variances, etc.) to management teams.
  • Understand the process of how urethane molds are built and used
  • Understand the process to pour and make a urethane part
  • Learn and understand how to maintain Injection and Thermoforming machinery.
  • Be willing to travel up to a 75-mile radius.


  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 
  • Educated in Thermoforming machine operations.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical pneumatic, hydraulics and electrical.
  • PLC programming a plus.
  • Completion of all PFP training requirements for the position as assigned.
