PolyFlex, part of Nefab Group, is a manufacturing company that specializes in the design, engineering and manufacturing of plastic molded products for Industrial and especially Automotive applications.

The Tool Maker is responsible for the final fit, finish, and performance of the injection molds. They will be able to perform detail work when needed in the tool build. Duties include benching, spotting of cavities, cores, and all tooled actions. Must be able to conduct tool repairs, preventative maintenance tasks, Set-up and safely operate Bridge Port mills, surface grinders, saws, and overhead cranes. Tool tryout duties as required.

This position is located in Grand Blanc, MI and you will report to the Site Manager.

Main Responsibilities - Owner of the mold build

o Check materials on hand against the BOM.

o Run Bridgeport, Lathe, Surface grinder, and Boring mill.

o Spot and Bench tool to achieve desired parts.

o Make sure all components are complete, and tool is on schedule.

o Participate in tooling and manufacturing kick off meetings.

o Fix tools that are old or break using hand tools and welder.

o Must have own tools.

o Proactive feedback and corrective action.

Your profile

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Plastics, Product Design (or equivalent work experience in a design related field).

· Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 4 years’ experience.
