VMI Planner, Nefab Fairburn VMI 

We are hiring a VMI Planner to join our team at the Nefab Fairburn VMI location. Nefab Group is on a growth journey, and we depend on high-performing people to help us succeed. Our supply chain and operations organization plays a vital role in delivering reliable, customer-focused inventory management and planning solutions to our customers. In this role, you will help ensure inventory accuracy, support operational efficiency, and maintain strong coordination between customers, operations, purchasing, and logistics. We are now looking for a VMI Planner to join our team in Fairburn.

As VMI Planner you will be responsible for managing vendor-managed inventory activities with a strong focus on customer interaction, inventory accuracy, and operational support. This role monitors reorder points and safety stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations, supports capacity planning and warehouse space optimization, and generates inventory and planning reports for management review and decision-making. The VMI Planner works closely with operations, purchasing, logistics, and customer contacts to align inventory with production schedules and customer demand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day vendor-managed inventory planning activities.
  • Communicate directly with customers to support inventory alignment, resolve issues, and maintain service levels.
  • Monitor reorder points and safety stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of customer part numbers, item references, and inventory requirements.
  • Support capacity planning and space optimization within the warehouse environment.
  • Generate inventory and planning reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Work closely with operations to support inventory flow and execution.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and operations teams to align inventory with production and customer needs.
  • Analyze inventory trends to forecast stock requirements and support demand planning.
  • Identify supply and demand risks and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory control and planning processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or VMI operations. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, with 3–5 years of product/inventory management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning and vendor-managed inventory processes.
  • Experience working with customer part numbers and inventory data.
  • Ability to analyze inventory trends and forecast requirements.
  • Strong communication skills for customer and internal collaboration.
  • Proficiency in reporting, planning tools, and warehouse operations support.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

This position is based at Nefab Fairburn VMI and reports to the Inventory Manager, Corey Sherer. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
