JOB SUMMARY

In your role as Head of Operations you will be an integral part of our management team and play a key role in overseeing operations at multiple sites. The position will be based in Untersiggenthal, Switzerland and you will report directly to the Managing Director. Together with the Production Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing production and logistics processes. This includes the continuous improvement of organizational processes and the further development of the production infrastructure to ensure the highest possible efficiency and on-time delivery of products in terms of quality. As part of the management team, you will implement the corporate strategy and ensure success-oriented, cross-divisional cooperation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that the Group's overall policies, ways of working & operations strategy and the local initiatives are clearly aligned
• Lead the Operational Excellence program with a focus on process efficiency and effectiveness at cargopack
• Implementation of and compliance with QHSE standards in accordance with Group and customer requirements
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of key positions
• Continuous development of the teams through training and education
• Ensuring effective cross-departmental collaboration
• Be involved in the selection of key supplier / service partners & relationship management
• Ensuring optimal machine availability through preventive maintenance
• Ensuring above-average delivery reliability and quality
• Initiate actions to improve the customer satisfaction in close cooperation with the sales team

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree within industrial engineering or other equivalent degrees
• Proven longstanding experience in the same or similar position managing production teams and improving operational processes, ideally within a corporate or multinational environment.

LANGUAGES

• Excellent communication skills in English and German

• Experience of working in an international environment, preferably in the machinery industry
• Strong experience in managing multi-location production teams

• Proven leadership skills
• High level of work ethic
• Analytic mind-set

• Profound knowledge with the MS Office applications
