Strategic Sourcing Executive/Asst. Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the identification and evaluation of new suppliers across various categories, emphasizing cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability.
• Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to optimize costs while maintaining or improving product and service quality.
• Conduct thorough supplier assessments, including financial stability, production capabilities, and pricing structures, to ensure competitiveness and sustainability.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings targets without compromising on quality or service levels.
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance cost-effectiveness through supplier rationalization, consolidation, and process optimization.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align sourcing initiatives with organizational objectives.
• Stay abreast of market trends, industry dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and competitive advantages.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to streamline procurement processes, improve efficiency, and maximize value across the supply chain.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully sourcing new suppliers and achieving cost savings in a strategic sourcing or procurement role. Experience with corrugated paper, foam, plastic bag, or wood would be an advantage.
• Strong negotiation skills with a focus on driving cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent analytical abilities to assess supplier capabilities, pricing structures, and market trends.
• Experience working in a technical environment with knowledge of engineering principles and drawing requirements.
• Proficiency in sourcing tools, contract management systems, and data analytics software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Proficiency of the English language, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
