Business Development Assistant Manager / BD Executive

Report to: Sr. BD Manager / Managing Director

Job Summary

The Assistant Business Development Manager / BD Executive will support the Business Development Manager in driving sales growth and creating new business opportunities. This role will focus on assisting with key global account management, sales forecasting, proposal preparation, coordination with engineering teams, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in achieving sales growth objectives by collaborating with the Business Development Manager and commercial teams.
  • Develop and implement plans to grow key global accounts, working closely with global teams.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasting for key accounts to facilitate growth initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing proposals that meet customer requirements and liaise with relevant teams for input.
  • Facilitate communication with engineering and operations teams to address design requirements and specifications.
  • Work with customer service teams to ensure timely handling of inquiries and orders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management roles, experience with packaging industry is advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable business plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Additional knowledge of plastics, wooden, and paper packaging is advantageous.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and new business sales development.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the local region.

Skills and Competences

  • Demonstrate fluency in both spoken and written English, facilitating effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Possess good computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
  • Make informed decisions to address various challenges encountered in business development endeavors and consult with relevant stakeholders, leveraging creativity and a dedication to continuous self-improvement to optimize work efficiency.
  • Possess a valid car driving license and the ability to drive in Thailand.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading drawings and analysing complex business-related documents, with the capability to interpret them effectively.
  • Excel in working under pressure to meet tight deadlines and navigate high-stakes situations with composure and efficiency.
  • Display a strong service-oriented mindset, prioritizing the needs of clients and stakeholders to deliver exceptional service experiences.
  • Maintain a focus on cost efficiency in decision-making processes, ensuring prudent allocation of resources and maximizing value for the organization.
